Bruschetta with homemade bread with plums, honey, thyme and smoked Provolone Valpadana DOP

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of toasted homemade bread
  • 100 g Smoked Provolone
  • 300 g plums
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of water
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • honey to taste

Preparation:

Cut the plums into wedges and remove the stones. Transfer them to a pan with sugar, water and a sprig of thyme. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes and set aside. Toast the bread on both sides. Take the Smoked Provolone and cut the shape into several pieces. Make some Provolone flakes with the help of a potato peeler. Place the bread on a serving plate, place the plums on the bread and add the Smoked Provolone slices. Season with honey and thyme.
